FASHION: Multi-Disciplinary Artist Patrick Church Wants to Empower Queer People with His Inclusive Pieces.

“I want everyone who wears my clothes to feel confident and empowered,” says Patrick Church in a feature on Out.com.

“So many people say they get compliments when they wear their pieces, and it can be difficult for LGBTQ+ people to feel that way.”

When it comes to his clothes, the Brooklyn-based artist is known for his bold graphic prints, and most of the garments are hand-painted. “I didn't really take the fashion thing very seriously before, but now I feel a great responsibility for each collection I'm making to be better and more elaborate. And, I'm realising fashion is an art form,” says Church in an interview with HYPEBEAST. “It’s actually a greater art form because you're telling stories and you can build so many things around a collection which is really exciting.

When asked about his ideal customer, Church maintained his clothes are for everyone. “It’s really important for me to be inclusive and to be true to the integrity of the brand,” Church says. “I want to remain very aware, especially with what’s going on around us at the moment.”
