More and more designers are launching direct-to-consumer platforms to sell their creations, but queer Scottish designer Charles Jeffrey is taking things to a whole new level, with the launch of LOVERBOY.net. The immersive and interactive platform allows users and potential customers to browse collections on various “players”.

“The site’s video game-style interactivity -which owes much to Charles’ childhood dreams of becoming a game designer - is amplified by Robert Fox’s audio landscape of eerily trippy LOVERBOY ‘adverts’, punctuated by the slurred quips of Hamish, the lovably potty-mouthed, ‘mildly inebriated’ guardian of LOVERBOY’s virtual realm,” as i-D points out.

In addition to featuring the label’s new AW20 collection, which is titled HELL MEND YOU, it will also give regular customers access to archive and limited edition re-issues of in-demand pieces. Exclusive prints of Charle Jeffrey’s artwork will also be available for purchase for the first time.
